2012 Winners!
What a fantastic evening! There were approximately 130 of us gathered to taste, mingle and cast our votes for the best red sauce, white sauce, pesto and dessert. We had our celebrity judges there to choose their favorites as well. Very special thanks to our very own Chef Dwight, Tim O’Brien of O’Brien’s restaurant and David LaRose, our Sicilian friend and self proclaimed “foodie”.
While we should have had two winners in each category - “Judges’ Choice” and “People’s Choice” we ended up with a tie for the People’s Choice Pesto and our white Sauce and dessert prizes were crowned by both the people and the judges! So Joe Hygesi and Debbie Mayfield each went home with two prized aprons!
A good time was had by all! Thank you Manny Ortiz and the Clubs staff for a fantastic evening and thanks to Patti Nelson of the Phyllis Browning Company, and the Clubs of Cordillera for the fantastic door prizes!
