Night and Afternoon Mah Jongg

Let the fun begin!! The Cordillera Mah Jongg group will meet twice this month. We will start our Night Mah Jongg group on Monday September 13th from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Diane Hirsch's home. Our afternoon group will play on Tuesday September 28th at Sylvia Hamilton's from 12:45 to 4:00 p.m. Please contact Barbara Wynn at lbwynn4@gvtc.com or 336-4349 for information or to rsvp to play this Asian tile game. New members are always welcome. No experience needed and games and cards are provided.

It’s great to have our regular players back from summer vacation and to see new neighbors join our group. Shanghai is an easy game to learn and we have a lot of fun! Our games for September are as follows: Tuesday, Sept. 7^th at noon at the home of Mary Anne Richardson, and Tuesday, Sept. 21^st at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Ann Rice. A new group is being formed on Cordillera Ranch called the

MOVIE OF THE MONTH/ POT LUCK DINNER GROUP!

(Not to be confused with the daytime Movie Club! However, the “Movie of the Month” may be one that this group will be viewing)

The group will pick a “movie of the month” at the Cinema, go and see it as individual couples or singles and once a month have a pot luck dinner at a private home to meet, drink, eat and discuss the movie! (Mebanes had a group like this in The Woodlands, Texas and it was FUN!) Hope you can join us! Movie for October - Wall Street "Money Never Sleeps" - Opening September 24th. The first get together will be Friday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mebane’s, 3316 Rio Cordillera. Plan to provide either a appetizer, salad, casserole or dessert.
