ANNUAL MEETING/HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
Plan to join the Bergheim VFD Board and Firefighters for their Annual Meeting & Holiday Open House at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011, at the fire station. The order of business will include the reading of the annual report and the election of officers and directors for 2012. All residents and property owners in the Department's service area and the line members of the firefighting force are eligible to vote. Holiday refreshments will be served so come out to show support for your fire department and to visit with your Bergheim Neighbors.
NOTE FROM THE CHIEF
The Department currently has 23 active members and as of November 17th has responded to 180 calls. Call volume has begun to slow down from previous months due to the recent rains and cooler weather; however, we should continue to be vigilant as the drought is not over.
Bergheim VFD firefighters participated in escorting Sgt. Nicolas McCoy from the Bergheim Fire Station to his new home in The Crossing. There was great community support and a fitting display for one of our wounded warriors.
